My Respect Towards The Iron Sheik
A wrestler that I respected and loved growing up was the Iron Sheik. Maybe it was the promo I don't know, but he was well hated. Why love a hated wrestler? Years later I feel it was the ultimate sacrifice he made the day he fought Hulk Hogan. Already a war was ready to break out over Iran and the USA and it was January 1984. There was hostility in the Country and there would have been a riot had The Iron Sheik had beat Hulk Hogan that day. Iron Sheik lost that day in January 1984. And he may have had many against him in Iran that day as he lost and let his Country down. He went through hostility towards his life, but he went through great suffering that many didn't understand. He made a sacrifice for America and the world that day. A day that pitted and symbolized two countries at war against each and they settled it by fighting each other one on one in a match where Hulk Hogan broke out of the camel clutch won the belt and took the weight of that championship and carried it...
