Pruning the Hedges: The Summer Season

 I normally don't do a Summer Blog, but I feel I need to as this is the season for it. So here we go.

Cutting the Weeds in Summer

I usually apply this philosophy to Summer. What are weeds? Weeds are anything that grows wild and out of control. And when they grow out of control what do you do, you cut them, you water them and ensure them to grow. This is the same with items in a store and even with podcasts. 

Summer is that in between season where you plan before the harvest of Fall. So, with eBay it is cutting prices. Doing sales on some items you want to move before the harvest to make room for big, ticketed items enter in your store. This is the time to go to Goodwill or go to the flea market or yard sales. It is scouting season. It is as if you are in the off season scouting your talent and see what next season will offer you. 

Also, with those sales I mentioned in the previous paragraph it is where you put sales on old items that aren't selling. They are the weeds, and they need to be cut. These are items or flowers that make your store or garden look good. You don't want the weeds to run wild in the store. 

This is true with Podcasting. You are always scouting your talent making deals even using old podcasts in the store or network and trying to find a way to make it fresh. This is where you prepare for the Next Season. 

My List of Summer Moves Since 2015

2015: Started putting Audiobooks on ACX and Started The Joseph Evaldi Podcast, then Money, Business and Inspiration Podcast.

2016: This was the year I blogged about Passion and Love and had that eye opening podcast on The Joseph Evaldi Podcast that I should have took to heart. 

2017: I was in transition for something big behind the scenes as I edited The Book of Malathoria from my friend Ricky this was preparing us for next year of podcasting.

2018: This was The Book of Seasons Kindle Book I wrote, and some early podcasts with guests on The Joseph Evaldi Podcast previewing the Next Season. 

2019: This was a Transition Year. And at that time Joe's Writers Club was born around that time or 2018

2020: I wrote blogs about Mental Health and Writing how to wave through the storms on Joe's Writers Club. I came back to podcasting

2021: This was the Summer I got The Ghost of Jacob Marley Done

2022 and 2023: This was where I worked on The Wolfman Joe Toys and Media eBay Store.

2024: I worked on setting up my Spreaker page with new podcasts and new shows after I returned to Spreaker after being on Radio King. 

I will be Prepared with What I will Do Next

I will be prepared with what I will do next for the Summer. I have always come up with a plan so by August time I am ready to go. So we will see where this Summer will lead us.
