Highlighting 3 Players from the 1980's

 I am working on selling some baseball cards of the 1980's and in this lot I want to feature 4 players who have had good careers for their time. In this blog I feature Carlton Fisk, Wally Backman, and Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd. I know that this is an odd bunch to put them together, but what bonds them are that their cards I am selling in a lot with many other cards.  Carlton Fisk  Carlton Fisk was a player from the 1970's and the 1980s. He played for the Boston Red Sox and then the Chicago White Sox. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2000. He started off his career in great fashion as he was awarded American League Rookie of the Year in 1972. Also, he finished his career with 376 Home Runs to become the catcher with the most home runs in Major League Baseball. This was later passed by Mike Piazza. He earned the nickname Pudge through his career in the MLB. His highlight of his career was in Game 6 in the 1975 World Series he hit the game winning home run to win the g
