Born into Poverty Abraham Lincoln Rises to US President

Abraham Lincoln was the U.S. President that bridged the gap between the old world and the beginning of the new world. He was the President of the countries worst battle on American soil to this date and ironically he was the last casualty.

Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin and into poverty in Kentucky in February 12, 1809. And in the beginning days he stood well over 6 foot. The one of two Presidents of the United States to be involved in pro wrestling which was different from this time. The second was Donald Trump with the World Wrestling Entertainment.

Abraham Lincoln made head ways with debates with Stephen Douglas in 1858 when he went for the US Senate, but then in 1861 he became the 16th President of the United States. There was an uproar with the South and the Confederacy where Jefferson Davis headed up the Confederacy and broke away from the Union leading to a major war between the North and the South.

Abraham Lincoln Battles Depression and Loses in the End

During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln experienced clinical depression over the loss of his sons Eddie and Willie. Lincoln follow through his depression and led to the most influential speeches of the Civil War, The Gettysburg Address.

He rallied the Union because he believed the country could not be divided. "United we stand, divided we fall."

Still the Union did win as Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant at The Appomattox Court House. The war was over, but President Lincolns worst fear was going to come true as he was shot and killed by Wilkes Booth. He was the last casualty of the war.

Abraham Lincoln Bridged the Gap to the New World

Afterwards innovation came to America as we had the birth of modern transportation.

We would have had a new nation had the other side won, but we are where we are today because the Union won. Think of the innovation we would have because of it.

President Lincoln met a grim fate at the end, but America grew stronger in the new world to the world we have today.
